Biafo Hispar Snow Lake Open Group Trekking Dates 2020

Warmest Greetings!

We hereby like to inform you that we are organizing an open group trekking of the Biafo Hispar Snow Lake trek.

This is a beautiful but also challenging trek which takes you from Baltistan to the Hunza Valley over the Biafo & Hispar glaciers. On the way you will camp on the incredible Snow Lake and cross the Hispar La (5128m), after the trek there will be time to relax and have some sightseeing in Karimabad. This trek is not crowded and is done only by a few groups each year which means there is a big chance you will be all by yourself to enjoy this amazing area!

The dates are:

12 July 2020

09 August 2020

Currently we will start with two dates but if there is enough interest we might also organize this open group trek on other dates so please do contact us if you are interested.

Anyone with a good fitness level and high altitude trekking experience can join this trek, the group will be a nice mix of international trekkers from various backgrounds and will be headed by an experienced English speaking mountain guide of Adventure Pakistan. We will begin and end in Islamabad (total 22 days) but you can also add some additional days before or after the trek, for example by spending more time in the Hunza Valley – feel free to ask us about the options.

Please note that the crossing of the Hispar La is depending on the weather as well as the condition of the pass in terms of crevasses – it has happened in the past that there were too many / too big crevasses which made it too difficult to cross. We therefore like to let you know that we can’t 100% guarantee the crossing and that you need be prepared that some in cases we will have to return the same route and end the trek at Askole.
